Review finds that most psychological interventions for people receiving palliative care are effective in reducing negative emotions including depression, anxiety and distress; & can improve hope, meaning and dignity. The review concluded that:
"Most of the psychotherapies provided to patients receiving palliative and end-of-life care showed effectiveness in the reduction of negative
emotions and positive factors related to end-of-life issues... "
