Dr Finucane is a Marie Curie Senior Research Fellow in Clinical Psychology at the University of Edinburgh and Honorary Research Lead at Marie Curie Hospice Edinburgh. Anne has over 10 years’ experience in conducting research involving people with a terminal illness, their families and staff involved in their care. Her particular interest lies in the development, evaluation, and implementation of cost-effective, scalable psychological interventions to support wellbeing amongst people approaching end-of-life. Anne has expertise in systematic review methods, mixed-methods, knowledge mobilisation and research to inform policy relevant to palliative care. Anne is an Associate Editor for BMC Palliative Care and was a member of the Palliative Care Research Society UK committee for 4 years. Anne has a strong track record in knowledge exchange; her research findings have formed the basis of parliamentary debate on palliative care needs in the Scottish Parliament.
