Dr Lissette Aviles is a Lecturer in Nursing Studies at the University of Edinburgh. Lissette has over 10 years’ experience in conducting research involving people, families and staff at the end of life in the context of organ donation and transplantation. Her areas of interest include development of evidence and theory to inform education, practice and policymaking relevant to end-of-life care. Lissette has expertise in systematic review methods, qualitative methodologies and ethics. She is co-lead of the School Research Ethics Committee for Nursing Studies at the University of Edinburgh, member of the International Observatory on End of Life Care (IOELC) and International Family Nursing Association (IFNA). Lissette has collaborations nationally and internationally and has a track record of knowledge exchange to maximise impact to improve end-of-life experiences for all.
