Summary:
In this webinar we heard presentations on the intersectionality of social and economic inequalities and poor health impact in relation to advanced and terminal illness. In addition, we heard of how previous trauma can make it hard for a person to receive care and hard for a care team to provide care. This has led to the growing global movement of trauma informed care. Principles of trauma informed care were illustrated with a case study. Delegates then went into break out rooms (not recorded) to discuss their reactions and reflection on the case study presented.
Dr Richards elected not to have her talk shared, and so the video presents the first talk, and the audience feedback about the talks.
