Prof Liz Forbat is a research psychologist at the University of Stirling and family psychotherapist in independent practice. Her research and clinical expertise is focused on families living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. She has 20+ years research expertise using quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods approaches in cancer, dementia, ageing and adult and paediatric palliative care. She has written extensively in each of these fields. Prof Forbat has won a national award for her service user involvement methods. She is on the Board of the Association of Family Therapy UK, and the Advisory Board for Marie Curie Scotland.
